Cycle for Life

Enjoy one of North Carolina's finest bike tours with distances for all abilities. Fabulous scenery, home-baked goodies at rests stops and SAG support provided by Mock Orange Bikes.

All pre-registered cyclists receive breakfast & lunch, and will be eligible for wine tasting. Registration is also available for non-cyclists.

Proceeds from Cycle for Life benefit the NC Stroke Association's stroke prevention, education and post-stroke services and Wake Forest Baptist Health Neurosciences.

Rider Information

The NC Stroke Association hosts its 12th Annual Cycle for Life Bike Tour on June 13, 2015. The event, which begins and ends at Hanover Park Vineyard in Yadkinville, offers four distances for every level of fitness; 26 miles, 41 miles, 65 miles and 99 miles. A great opportunity to kick-off summer fitness plans!


John Parks Wants Your Involvement in Cycle for Life Bike Tour

Cycle for Life is a popular event for cyclists, stroke survivors and families. Registered cyclists and paying guests receive breakfast and lunch, in addition to wine tasting following the ride. The fee for pre-registered cyclists is $35 and $30/rider for teams. Individual non-cyclists can register for $25. Mail in your registration form or register online at active.com. Pre-registration is available until midnight on June 11, 2015. Same-day registration is $45.

Registration begins at 7:00 a.m. All rides will begin at 8:00 a.m.

Route Descriptions (New for 2015!)

  • Century (99 miles): For "hard leg" riders. Challenging course with rolling hills and two climbs over the Brushy Mountain range. Four rest stops will be provided.

  • Metric Century (65 miles):A challenging route with many hills through four counties. Four rest stops will be provided.

  • 41 mile: Intermediate distance ride through three counties. Two rest stops will be provided.

Directions

Hanover Park Vineyard 1927 Courtney-Huntsville Road Yadkinville, NC 27055 From Hwy 421, take the exit to Hwy 601. Go south 4 miles. At 2nd blinking light, turn left on Courtney-Huntsville Road, Vineyard is 1 mile on left. From I-40, take exit 170 for Hwy 601. Go north 9.8 miles and turn right on Courtney-Huntsville Road, Vineyard is 1 mile on left.
